Easter bingo cards with spring words
Egg hunts are over in minutes, and then there is a whole afternoon left. These cards give the family or the Sunday group a sit-down game afterwards, using words from the hunt, the garden and the spring animals children already know.

Ideas for Easter afternoon
- Hide the calling slips instead of reading them. Tuck each cut-up word inside a plastic egg, let the children find the eggs, and open one at a time to see which square gets covered.
- Mini chocolate eggs in foil make markers that stay clean on the card. Jelly beans work as well; hand out a set number each so the count is fair before anyone starts eating.
- For toddlers and pre-schoolers choose the three by three grid, where a card has eight words and the free middle. Hold up a toy chick, a carrot or a painted egg as you call.
- At a church hall or community event, print one big card per page for the older generation and four per page for the children's table, both from the same list so one caller serves the whole room.
- Let the winner of each round pick first from a basket of small prizes such as stickers, seed packets or a painted egg, rather than one large chocolate prize that ends the game early.

Questions
What is on the Easter bingo cards?
Fifty everyday Easter and springtime words, from bunny and basket to daffodil and duckling. The list is printed in full on this page and you can change any line before the cards are made.
Can I use Easter bingo at a church or Sunday school event?
Yes. The standard list is seasonal rather than scriptural, so it suits a mixed community group. Leaders who want words from the Easter story can type them over any of the existing lines.
How do I play Easter bingo with plastic eggs?
Print the call sheet, cut the words apart and put one slip in each egg. Hide the eggs, gather them in a basket, then open them one by one as the calls. Fifty words need fifty eggs, or put two slips in each.
Will the cards work for a spring party that is not on Easter?
Change the title to Spring bingo and remove the few egg hunt lines. Flowers, animals and weather words remain, and the cards are dealt again from what is left.
