Bingo Stack

Classroom bingo

Five pages for primary classrooms and for parents teaching at home. Three practise a skill with a called game; two are activities that run without a caller.

Choosing a classroom page

For skills practice there are three called games. Alphabet bingo is the starting point for children who are still learning letter shapes and sounds. Sight word bingo follows once they are reading short common words, and it is the page to use with your own weekly list. Number bingo 1 to 30 does the same job for numerals and can be called with sums in place of numbers for older pupils.

The other two pages are not called games. First day of school bingo is a mixer for the start of term: pupils find classmates who match the squares and write their names. The reading bingo challenge is a long-running card of reading tasks that a child completes over a holiday or a half term.

On every page the number of cards can be set to your register, up to sixty, and each pupil's card is different. Lists are editable, so a page can be bent to another subject: spelling words in the sight word page, or multiples in the number page.
